CRA Board of Trustees
Below are photos and brief bios of the current officers and committee chairs of the CRA Board. At the bottom of the page is a listing of all current and life board members.
Susan Kuniholm Potter '88, Chairperson & Development Committee Chair
Susan is the Vice Chairperson and the Development Committee Chair. She rowed for the Big Red and graduated with an English major from the Arts and Sciences School. She has an MBA from Wharton and has worked in financial services and consulting. Currently, she is a Financial Advisor with Morgan Stanley. She serves on a variety of nonprofit boards, including the Head of the Charles. Her husband, son and daughter are all rowers. Her son Nick is class of 2021, and will be rowing for the Big Red.
Tom Murray '91, Treasurer
Tom is the President of Fortius Management, a boutique consulting firm that enables leaders, teams, and organizations identify and achieve their next-level of performance. Tom has a BS (1991) and MS (2001) from Cornell in Biological and Environmental Engineering as well as a MS in Finance (2005) from Boston College. Tom was a three-year letterman and commodore of the heavyweight crew as a senior, he was the recipient of the team's most outstanding oarsman award in 1991, when he rowed in the No. 6 seat of the varsity eight that placed third at the Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championships. Tom was also a two-time Olympian (1996, 2000), two-time World Champion (1987, 1999), two-time Pan American Games gold medalist (1995, 1999) and six-time National Team member. Tom lives in his hometown, Buffalo, New York.
Kimberly Russell '08, Secretary
Kimberly is Secretary of the CRA Board. She is a Vice President at State Street Global Advisors. Based in New York, she is responsible for engaging with securities exchanges, evaluating market regulations, and providing analysis on aspects of market structure that impact liquidity of exchange-traded funds. Previously, Kimberly was a Director at Barclays, where she held various roles in the Equities division from 2008-2017. Kimberly graduated from Cornell in 2008 with a Bachelor's degree in English. She was a recipient of the Cornell Rowing "Big Stick" award (2006), 1st Team All-Region Mid-Atlantic (2006), 1st place W2- race at Princeton Chase (2005), and attended U-23 selection camp in Berkeley, CA (2006).
Emily Mastrianni '89, Nominating Committee Chair
Emily is the Nominating Committee Chair. Emily was a member of the National Champion Cornell Women’s 8+ in 1989. She graduated from The Hotel School at Cornell. She currently is the President of Mann Wireless, Ltd., a wireless in-building systems design, engineering and consulting services company. Emily has served on various non-profit boards in the Saratoga Springs, NY area and is currently President of Saratoga Arts’, the regions Arts Council and Arts Center. She has three daughters, one who is currently on the Women’s Crew, class of 2020.
Harlan Simpson '10, Events Committee Chair
Harlan is Events Committee Chair for the CRA Board. She is a senior consultant at Deloitte Consulting, LLP in Washington, DC, currently supporting government and public services clients measure the impact of large systems transformations. In 2019, she received her MBA from the George Washington University. Prior to and during business school, Harlan was closely involved in the sport of rowing as a program director for Row New York, an executive director for adaptive and youth rowing at Capital Rowing Club, and an NCAA D1 collegiate rowing coach at GWU. She graduated from Cornell in 2010 from the College of Arts and Sciences with a degree in Near Eastern Studies and Arabic. She was captain of Cornell Women’s Rowing in 2010 and was a recipient of the Charles Courtney Award (‘10) and Lianne Ritter Memorial Award (‘09). Harlan has lived in DC for 8 years, loves running around the monuments, and enjoys spending with her husband, Mike, and dog, Stella.
Nick Anderson ’97, Communications Committee Chair
Nick is the President of Andvari LLC and a partner at CyVantage LLC, both consulting firms focusing on IT and cybersecurity needs within critical business sectors, where they have deep expertise in specialty manufacturing, telecommunications, finance, energy, and governmental agencies. Nick is a graduate of the Cornell College of Arts, Architecture, and Planning. Nick was a three-time letterman as the coxswain of the heavyweight crew. He was also a member of the US National Rowing team from 1997-2004, and was a three-time World Champion (1997, 1999, 2000), a Pan-American Games gold medalist (1999), and won multiple other international and world championship medals.
