Cornell Rowing Association Mentoring Program

Want to help our rowers get ahead after they graduate? Join CRAMP!

The Cornell Rowing Association Mentoring Program (CRAMP) connects Cornell rowing alumni with current student-athletes to help the students prepare for and achieve their professional aspirations after Cornell.  For alumni, this is a great way to stay connected with Cornell rowing, have a meaningful impact on a student, and maybe even help you fill a job opening in your organization.  We offer a number of opportunities for alumni to get involved, including:

  • CRAMP Panel:  Each fall -- on Friday evening of the Schwartz Cup weekend -- a panel of 5 rowing alumni answer student questions in a town hall style Q&A, followed by informal networking and pizza. Typically another 20+ alumni attend the networking. It a great evening for alumni to share their insights about careers, internships, interviewing, etc., with the students, as well as to re-connect with other alumni. All alumni are encouraged to attend.
  • Alumni Mailing:  In both the fall and spring semesters, students who are seeking either permanent jobs or summer internships provide brief professional bios to CRAMP, which we then email to Cornell rowing alumni. If you have a position to fill, think about getting a Cornell rower to join your team! If you don’t already receive emails on this topic, please let us know and we will be sure to get you on the list.
  • Cornell Rowing Group on LinkedIn:  The Cornell Rowing Group on LinkedIn is a great place to find out what fellow rowing alumni are doing today, as well as to obtain information on current students seeking employment opportunities. One of the largest alumni rowing groups on LinkedIn, we recently added our 700th member!
  • Resume Review:  Just introduced this spring for current juniors and seniors, the Resume Review pairs a student with two rowing alumni to provide resume advice and yet another resource for students to ask questions as they prepare to start their career, or head to grad/med/law/vet school, etc.

If you are interested in helping with any of the above or have questions or suggestions, please contact the CRA.
